If we look at a chart for the start of this war — named Epic Fury on the American side — we see that Uranus was square the Moon of the United States, which seems to be a good indicator of war. If we look at previous hard aspects between transiting Uranus and the US Moon we will see many similarities with the current situation, mostly involving war. But America goes to war often, Uranus makes a conjunction, square or opposition to the Moon about every 21 years, but there was another aspect which means that this war has more significance for the world then, for example, Gulf War II which was the invasion of Iraq in 2003. That aspect is the conjunction of Saturn and Neptune. The last time that happened was in 1989, which saw the Fall of the Berlin Wall leading to the collapse of the Soviet Union and associated countries. The meaning of that for the world at large cannot be overestimated and the effects are still being felt almost forty years later. But this conjunction took place at the Aries point, something that has not happened for thousands of years.

Hard aspects of Uranus to the Moon of the United States corresponds usually to war but as we will see there can be other events that happen under these aspects. The symbolism suggests that the populace (represented by the Moon) are somehow excited or upset and so they demand action, but in reality the desire for war originates in the government and then the populace is propagandized to be excited or upset. Remember that there is a hard aspect — sesquiquadrate — between the Sun and the Moon — the Government and the People — in the United States chart.

Let me briefly list the times of Uranus making a hard to the US Moon over the past 250 years and what happened. In 2003 there was a conjunction and the US invaded Afghanistan and Iraq. In 1981 there was a square between those two planets and America was involved in fighting in El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Guatemala. In 1961 and 1962 the hard aspect was an opposition. As historian Barbra Tuckman says in her book The March of Folly “If a date is needed for the beginning of the American in Vietnam, the establishment of [Military Assistance Command Vietnam] (in February 1962) will serve.” In 1941 and 1942 there was a square between those two planet, the same type of square as is happening now, and the event that happened was Pearl Harbor and the overt involvement of the US in World War II. In 1918 and 1919 Uranus was again conjunct the US Moon and America, having just finished Word War I, invaded Russia to prevent the coming Revolution.

A square occurred in 1897 right before the Spanish-American War. In 1877 and 1878 there was an opposition and this saw not a war (in the traditional sense) but what is called “The Compromise of 1877” which saw the end of Reconstruction, which happened after the Civil War, and thus this compromise allowed the rise of Jim Crow laws in the South and all the things that followed such as lynchings. In 1857 and 1858 there was a square and many could see the development of the Civil War. In 1835 there was a conjunction, and even though Texas was not yet a part of the United States, this time marked the Battle for the Alamo, as Texas tried to separate from Mexico. Then in 1813 there was a square and America saw the War of 1812. Then in 1793 and 1794 saw Uranus opposite the US Moon and Pluto conjoined the Moon. This saw what is called the Quasi-War with France which occurred nearer to the end of the Eighteenth Century. The events leading up to this war started in 1793 and 1794. Finally in 1773 and 1774 there was a square and the beginning of the American Revolution.

Added into all this Neptune (conjunct Saturn at about one half degree orb) was exactly opposite the MC of the United State, promising maximum confusion, and Mercury was also retrograde. The periods of Mercury retrograde are considered to be the worst time to start a new project. At least we have good evidence that the White House/Pentagon doesn’t use astrologers. The alternative hypothesis is that they use astrologers and the worst possible time was picked for the start of the war on purpose. Perhaps the Iranians smuggled an astrologer into the White House!!

As I’ve previously indicated, I consider the Spanish American War and 9/11 as events that are bookends of the American Empire. The Spanish-American War is widely considered to be the start of the American Empire, where the US gained the colonies of Cuba, Puerto Rico, Guam and especially the Philippines, even though earlier events, especially the War with Mexico some 50 years before the Spanish-America War, could be considered empire-like. America has not won any wars after 9/11 (and few before) but the War with Iran certainly marks a tremendous loss, and the American Empire will never be the same.

But also there was a Saturn Neptune conjunction, something that happens every 36 years, but this one was at the Aries point which makes it much more uncommon. The last time Saturn conjoined Neptune was in 1989; this saw the fall of the Berlin Wall and then over the next few years the fall of the Soviet Union and associated Communist countries. This had profound ramification for the world at large and the effects are still felt today.

The previous conjunction was in 1953 which saw the end of the Korean War, American’s first major battle in the Cold War, the death of Joseph Stalin, which greatly changed the nature of the Soviet Union and lead to a recognition of Stalin’s crime against the Soviet people. The idea known as McCarthyism (named for senator Joseph McCarthy of Wisconsin) supposedly ended at this time, but in actually haunted America for decades after that. In fact, there was a HUAC (House UnAmerican Activities Committee) meeting in San Francisco at the City Hall in May 1960. Student demonstrators were washed down steps of the City Hall rotunda by fire hoses because of their protests at this hearing. This is often considered the start of student activity in the Sixties in the Bay Area. Some suggest that McCarthyism is still appearing with charges of Communist politicians ruling major cities being bandied about.

The conjunction before that happened once in 1917 and saw again a rise of Red-Phobia, partly due to the Communist Revolution that happening in Russia at that time. The one exact conjunct of Saturn and Neptune was on July 31, 1917. America declared war on Germany — by a President who ran on “He kept us out of war’ — on April 2, 1917. This event had ramification both in America and Europe for many years after. The first of two revolutions in Russia started in February of 1917 (Russia was still on the Julian calendar) and a second revolution started in October or November of the sane year. Obviously these Revolution had immense implication for Russia and the World for many years to come.

If we look at the chart of Israel at the moment of the Iran War things don’t look good for the people of the country. While Uranus is no longer on top of the Israel Sun — it was there in 2023 — now Pluto is opposite the Moon and will be there for at least another year or more. The religious Orthodox population is increasing more rapidly than other groups and they are opposed to the war so we could see problems within the country. The CIA even predicts a civil war in Israel. But the next few years will be difficult with more and more people and other countries losing all respect for Israel.

If look at the start of the war in the Iranian chart the strongest aspect is Neptune sesquiquadrate the Iranian Ascendant almost exactly. Perhaps this has to do with the Lego-inspired propaganda films that country is making. However, in 2027 and 2028, Uranus will conjunct the Moon of Iran, suggesting the people of that country will be upset or perhaps (if they are anything like the United States) a war will break out. Then in 2029 and 2030 transiting Neptune will go over the Iranian Sun, a year or so before that same Neptune squares the US Sun. So results from this war will impact both Iran, Israel, and the United States for years to come.

Because of the Saturn Neptune conjunction I expect that the implications/ramifications of this war will affect the whole world, even thought it already does, for decades to come and we won’t realize the full extent of the effects until many years in the future.
